Pics Montana: Columbus to Big Timber (August 31, 2012)

Like many towns, when we got there the store was closed forever.

Antelope that bounded and ran like wind-up toys.

And they're off...

Full moon over our river campsite.

Another moon view framed by the trees.

The gurgling river is good for sleeping.

Can't get enough of this full beautiful moon.

Pata makes her way back to the tent.

Can almost read by it.

Leaving camp the next morning, a bright brief rainbow appears.
Slowly it fades away...

Moments later it is gone.

We walk across the cattle grates.

The moon says goodnight at daybreak.

Sheep with thick coats run along side as we ride by.

So that's where the mittens come from.

The sun lights and warms the scenic background.

Montana, framed perfectly by this ranch entrance.
